2016 DBZ TCG World Championship Details

The biggest weekend in DBZ TCG history will begin on November 11th – see more below!

The 2016 DBZ TCG World Championship will take place on November 11-13th at the fabulous Hyatt Regency DFW – conveniently located directly inside the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport!

Worlds weekend will host several events, with offerings for players of every level!

  • Friday, Nov 11th – 2016 DBZ TCG World Championship Open Qualifier 10.00 AM

At the end of Swiss, the top 4 ranked players from this event will qualify for Worlds. This event is open to all participants that have not yet received a Worlds invite (space permitting). Registration for this tournament will take place on-site starting at 9.00 AM, and it is entirely free of charge to enter!

  • Saturday, November 12th – 2016 DBZ TCG World Championship (Swiss) 10.00 AM

The 2016 World Championship is an invite-only tournament, featuring six rounds of Swiss and a cut to Top 8. Participants will receive exclusive promos and compete for large cash prizes – including an unannounced bonus card! (We think you’ll really “dig” it!)

Also on Saturday, ARG will be hosting a tournament for players that aren’t participating in the main event – stay tuned for more details at a later date!

  • Sunday, November 13th – 2016 DBZ TCG World Championship (Top Cut) 10.00 AM

On Sunday, the final eight players will battle it out to determine the World Champion. The special format for Worlds Top Cut will be revealed as we approach the day of the event. Spectators are encouraged to attend this prestigious stage of the tournament!

Sunday will also include another ARG side event – format and details TBA.

In the coming weeks, all Worlds Qualified Players should be on the lookout for communication regarding meal preferences, confirmation of travel plans, and more.

Come November, the entire DBZ TCG nation is poised to descend on Dallas – with each and every player having good cause to attend Worlds! Experience the heat of competition and bonds of camaraderie over this three-day celebration of the game, and we’ll see you there!
