1. NFL Five Designer Challenge

The NFL playoffs begin this weekend, while the 2021 NFL Five Preseason resumes with its first event in January! Join us on Saturday, January 9th from 3-5 CST (Zoom invite here) for a Designer Challenge match with creator Brian Fahmie – followed by a Q&A session with the fans. All virtual attendees will receive free promo cards, plus a chance to win an invite to the 2021 Kickoff Tournament. 

2. NFL Five COTW

Derrick Henry eclipsed 2000 rushing yards last weekend, a milestone that only eight players have reached in NFL history. In the NFL Five TCG, his E239 card also carries the distinction of being one of the longest effect texts in the game! In a nutshell, this ability will only allow Derrick Henry to make plays on your possession – but you’ll be able to use him the entire drive at +10 yards each time! Since this effect must be activated at the start of the possession, you’re unlikely to get much mileage out of your other Players. However, consider pairing this card with a transformational lineup – then look for openings to activate your other abilities as a backup strategy to Henry!

3. January Agenda

Keep your eyes peeled for two January giveaways, starting with JLA Starter Decks for MetaX (with an NFL Five “playoffs” contest at the end of the month). Aside from this weekend’s Designer Challenge, don’t forget about January’s remaining Preseason event on the 31st.
