On January 15th, this month’s MetaX giveaway will kick off with a theme of “refreshment.” Watch for participation details on the blog, then visit the Panini Games Facebook page for a chance to win Starter Decks from JLA. 3. MetaX COTW

Next week’s MetaX contest will revolve around cards that can refresh your hand, and The Joker – Clown Prince of Crime is one of the game’s earliest examples of this type of effect. While there are numerous ways to filter cards, the Joker allows you to replace your entire hand at once (without the downside of sending any cards to the discard pile). On your end, this ability can dig for a specific answer or send away situationally useless cards – along with providing a free shuffle. While this effect might improve either player’s hand, consider timing it to disrupt opposing search effects and deck stacking.
