Four for Friday: October Occurrences!

News about a Halloween costume contest, an NFL Five promo breakdown, and more below!

1. October Giveaways

As noted Tuesday, we’re holding two new contests in October. Watch for the next MetaX giveaway on October 18th, followed by an NFL Five Halloween contest at the end of month. Aside from the usual participation method (via the Panini Games Facebook page), you’ll also have a chance to earn bonus prizes by submitting a photo of your Halloween costume!

Check back for more details when the contest kicks off on October 25th, with the results posted on Friday, November 1st.

2. Promo Availability

There are currently three NFL Five promo cards in circulation. The first, P9-19 Eli Manning, is included with all shipments of Demo Decks.

Tournament Kits are free upon request to stores hosting NFL Five events – contact OP@paniniamerica.net for more info. To see the full library of upcoming promo releases, view the “P” rarity of the checklist here.

3. Card of the Week

Though Andrew Luck has retired from the game of football, he’ll still be playable in the NFL Five TCG! First, note that Andrew Luck’s ability can only be used during On Field Adjustments. In most scenarios, this effect will give you a chance to change your play after seeing if the opponent has made a successful guess. In a deck with a diverse array of Play cards, this effect has an even greater chance to make the defense miss. Look to pair this card with other Players that can rearrange your Play deck, such as Josh Rosen or Parris Campbell.

4. Fan Submissions

Watch for NFL Five Deck Techs to begin in the near future! If you’d like tips for your NFL Five or MetaX deck (or simply want to see it featured on the blog), submit your list to OP@paniniamerica.net with “DECK TECH” in the subject line. You can also submit tournament reports (see past coverage examples here and here) to this address – and watch for more draft breakdowns throughout the upcoming season!
