1. Green Lantern Searchlight Giveaway

We’re starting summer with a new MetaX giveaway, and three randomly selected winners will receive a Booster Box of Green Lantern! The Green Lantern expansion features a plethora of “search your deck” effects, but this month’s theme allows for responses from any MetaX set. To enter, visit the Panini Games Facebook Page and post your reply to the following question:

What is your favorite “search your deck” effect in the game, and why?

Winners will be announced next Friday – please submit your entries before June 12th.

2. NFL Five Card of the Week

This is one of two “team” stamped effects in the first set (along with its sister effect Defensive Synergy). While it has a steep restriction, it is uniquely able to add automatic yardage to any play. Since Action cards do not require a resource to use, their true “cost” becomes a factor during deck construction. “Free” effects like this come at the expense of fitting more powerful Action cards in your deck. In the future, look for more rewards for solo team lineups in the next set – which brings us to:

3. NFL Five Teasers

Here are three things to anticipate in NFL Five’s next release:

• Watch for an effect that Energizes all Players from the same team
• You can also look forward to an Action card that cancels the effects of an Action card
• The next set contains a Legendary Player card with an ability that receives a bonus for each Power Up card attached to him

4. Coming Soon

Beyond next week’s MetaX contest winners, expect an update to the MetaX CRD in the near future. The NFL Five CRD will also receive a v1.1 update, and we’re preparing a new NFL Five “Quarterback” giveaway for the end of the month. Details about NFL Five’s next release are coming soon – including the official launch date, introduction of new card types/mechanics, and a full rollout of card previews and spoilers.
