Panini America Dragon Ball Z Brand Manager Aik Tongtharadol surprised me earlier today with one hot-off-the-presses box of the company’s highly anticipated Heroes & Villains Booster box. Almost before he turned around and left the marketing office, I had the box opened and the first few packs ripped.
In the Teaser Gallery that follows, we take you pack by pack through that box, which delivered 24 Rares, eight spectacular-looking Foils and a fascinating array of imagery.
The talking ends here. It’s been a long wait, but Heroes & Villains is finally upon us. Tournaments with “at-launch” kits will be taking place all over the country, with most of them running from March 6th-8th. Below is a list of stores that have received prize support, but be sure to individually confirm dates at your nearest location. You can check out the promos and play mat here, along with details about the sealed “Rainbow” format. Hello everyone! Time continues hurtling toward the release of Heroes and Villains. In just four short weeks, the new cards will be in your hands. That’s only three Mailbag articles from now! With approvals in the final stages, preview cards will start rolling out in the immediate future. Next week, a new “Card of the Week” series will be kicked off with the reveal of a Level 1 MP. Howdy! The thirst for new information about the next set continues unabated – almost every e-mail received this week was a question about DBZ: Heroes and Villains. The development of the set is still ongoing, and I am excited to see how these cards will impact the tournament scene.
