Heroes & Villains Preview Images (2/21/2015)

When Heroes & Villains releases in just two short weeks, you’ll have to make some tough decisions. As more mid-range cards are introduced into the environment, the metagame will become increasingly dynamic. At the same time, players will agonize over how to fill out those final deck slots. Energetic Left Blast is one example – it doesn’t belong in every deck, but it’s certainly a nice tool to have. While obviously useful against Captain Ginyu or Gohan, it has some general flexibility. For example, destroying your own Bulma for the damage boost, followed by Blue Lunar Ray to return her to play to seal off a different card. Fans of the old DBZ CCG may notice the resemblance to Ribs Broken, which had similar applications. Please enjoy this preview, along with nine other cards in the gallery. Look for Heroes & Villains in stores on March 6th.

Heroes and Villains Preview Images (2/14/2015)

In Heroes and Villains, each MP from the first set will debut as an Ally. With Krillin – Supportive, Hero decks have gained access to a powerful metagame tool. Since he destroys your own drills if there are no opposing targets, you’ll have to think carefully about his role in your deck. However, it is one of the few removal effects in the game that occurs outside of combat. Eventually, a drill based opponent will be forced to enter combat to deal with him. Please enjoy this preview along with nine other cards in the gallery, and look forward to Heroes and Villains hitting the shelves in early March.

Remember the introduction of Trunks? Everyone thought Frieza was dead and gone, but he returned with new enhancements. Unfortunately for him, he was unceremoniously dispatched in a few episodes – never to be heard from again (until later this year). In the DBZ TCG, Frieza has gained access to an even more impressive upgrade: Blue Overpowering Drill. In combination with Frieza – Tyrant and Blue Protective Mastery, you’ll be able to reliably advance to Level 2. From there, the drill remains in play and enables Frieza – Transformed to perform an unstoppable attack. Please enjoy this preview along with nine other cards in the gallery, and look forward to Heroes and Villains hitting the shelves in early March.
